Parking bans implemented in City and County of GP as snow removal operations ramp up

Snow clearing is underway across the Grande Prairie region, with the city’s latest announcement that residential clearing is underway, and the county beginning similar operations in their municipalities.

So far, crews in the City of GP have begun clearing Crystal Landing, Hillside, and Mountview, followed by work in Patterson Place. Sanders have continued to monitor roads and sand wherever needed, and city Priority One parking lots have started a new rotation.

Meanwhile, in the county, snow removal crews will roll out in the Westlake and Whispering Ridge neighbourhoods on November 27th. As a result, parking bans have been implemented and street parking is not permitted between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Parking bans on priority roads in the city also began this week, restricting parking on permanent snow routes from Monday to Friday, between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. until the ban is lifted.
