Traffic was backed up in two areas within the City of GP on November 27th due to Aquatera response incidents.
Drivers were advised that Aquatera crews responded to a section of 101st Avenue west of 116th Street that was backed up due to a sanitary main blockage. The road was quickly reopened; however, crews remained on scene on November 28th to conduct a follow-up, but officials say there is no anticipation the road will be closed again.
The southbound right lane on 100th Street was closed due to a suspected water leak at the southwest corner of 100th Street and 96th Avenue. Despite this, Aquatera officials maintain traffic will remain open as crews conduct their investigation.
“At this time, all southbound traffic is remaining open, so there’s not going to be any impact to traffic at this time,” an Aquatera employee said.
According to Aquatera, no impacts have been observed due to the suspected leak, but crews will continue to observe and updates will be issued as needed.
