RCMP confirm one deceased as a result of Thursday morning Highway 43 collision

Following a two-vehicle collision near Valleyview, the RCMP has confirmed one to be deceased as a result of the crash.

According to the RCMP, on the morning of November 28th at around 4:00, members of the Valleyview RCMP were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision involving an ATV on Highway 43 in Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation.

As a result, the highway was closed for several hours as emergency crews responded to the scene. Police discovered one deceased 31-year-old male on the scene.

Both vehicles involved have been identified, but the RCMP is continuing its investigation, and now looks to the public for assistance.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage recorded in the area of Highway 43 in Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation between the hours of 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. on November 28th is asked to contact the RCMP, or anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
