Annual Grande Prairie Storm Teddy Bear Toss set for Friday

Big night at Bonnetts Energy Centre on Friday as the annual Teddy Bear Toss takes place when the Grande Prairie Storm host the Drayton Valley Thunder.

Fans are being asked to pack the facility to the rafters and bring your teddies to toss them on the ice after the first Storm goal of the night. All teddy bears and plushies collected will be delivered to Grande Prairie Regional Hospital for distribution on the paediatric floor.

Puck drop for Friday’s game is just after 7 p.m., and you can find more information about the Teddy Bear Toss on the Grande Prairie Storm Facebook page.

Snowfall warning issued for Grande Prairie

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Grande Prairie region with upwards of 25 centimetres of snow expected before it's all said and done. Officials say the snow will kick off Thursday night, and it's expected to intensify throughout Friday before tapering off on Saturday.
