County encourages nominations for 2025 Farm Family of the Year award as deadline fast approaches

County residents only have a few more days to nominate their picks for the County of Grande Prairie’s 2025 Farm Family of the Year award.

The county says ideal nominees “exemplify excellence” in local agriculture, and demonstrate a strong commitment to their community.

According to the county, the Farm Family of the Year award has been a proud tradition in the County of Grande Prairie since 1969, celebrating agriculture’s critical role in the region’s heritage and economy.

Agricultural Services Board Chair and County Councillor Bob Chrenek says his council is “honoured” to continue celebrating the hard work and dedication of Grande Prairie’s agricultural families.
