Fairview RCMP arrest two following break-and-enter in Clear Hills County

The Fairview RCMP has made two arrests following a two-week-long investigation into a break-and-enter that occurred at a commercial site in Clear Hills County, outside of the municipality.

On November 29th, at approximately 1:52 a.m., the Fairview RCMP responded to residents’ reports regarding a B&E at a commercial site on Range Road 72. Upon arrival, two male suspects fled the scene; however, police say with the assistance of Police Dog Services, officers located and arrested the pair.

As a result, 52-year-old Bezanson resident Dennis Grant Ford was charged with alleged break and enter, and possession of property obtained by crime for the purpose of trafficking over $5,000, and Christopher Ryan Comer, a 46-year-old from Dawson Creek has been charged with the same offences.

Ford was brought before a Justice of the Peace and remains in custody. His next court appearance is on December 23rd in Fairview.

Cormer was also brought before a Justice; however, he was released on a conditional Release Order, with his next scheduled court appearance on January 22nd in Fairview.
