A local helicopter service is calling on the Grande Prairie region to help “Stuff the Heli” with toys for children in care at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital.
From December 19th to December 21st, families are encouraged to visit Gemini Heli Ltd. at 10931, 123rd Street, across from the airport, to donate new and unused toys, and to incentivize donations, families will have the chance to get a close-up look at the helicopter and learn about how it works.
Suggested toy donations include Play-Doh, colouring books and washable markers, stuffed animals, dolls, action figures, and fidget toys. Donation drop-off hours are 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the 19th, followed by 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the 20th and 21st.
As an added bonus, families who donate will be entered into a draw for a return trip from the hospital in the helicopter, complete with a tour of the city from the sky.
Gemini Heli will deliver Santa and the collected toys to the GPRH Helipad at 11:00 a.m. on December 22nd.
