Peace Regional RCMP encourages businesses to double check security equipment after B&E in Peace River

The Peace Regional RCMP has laid charges on one following an alarm call regarding an alleged break-and-enter at a business in Peace River.

During their response, police located 22-year-old Peace River resident Tanner Hatter, nearby with items law enforcement say were taken from the business.

According to the RCMP, while reviewing footage of the incident Hatter was seen taking items from the store after unlocking a door earlier in the day, before returning later in the night through the same unlocked door to take more items from the business and surrounding businesses as well.

Hatter was arrested for break and enter to a business, theft over $5,000, failure to comply with a release order, and failure to comply with probation orders. He was held for an interim hearing and remains in custody with an upcoming court date set for February 3rd.
