Valleyview firefighters recovering after unit goes off road during emergency call

The Town of Valleyview has confirmed the firefighters involved in an incident that saw a unit going off the road are okay and recovering.

According to the town, on the evening of January 9th, a Valleyview Fire Department unit went off the road while responding to an emergency call. Since then, officials confirmed on social media that all members are safe and are taking time to rest and recover after the incident.

“We’re incredibly grateful to share that all members are safe,” the Town of Valleyview shared on Facebook.

It is unclear at this time what caused the incident and Valleyview Fire Chief Danny McCallum has asked for privacy as members take the time they need to heal and recover.
