Bonanza home to Ritchie Bros.’ largest on-the-farm auction ever

Wednesday’s Ritchie Bros. auction in Bonanza was the company’s largest on-the-farm ever. More than $24 million of farmland and equipment was sold from a family farm northeast of Dawson Creek.

The unreserved public auction brought in almost 2,200 bidders from 26 countries, including more than 1,300 online. They bought up 7,400 acres of real estate and 800 pieces of equipment that came from two local families.

The auction came two weeks after Grande Prairie saw its largest ever with more than 62 million dollars worth of equipment sold over two days.
