A 1.1 hectare fire is being held in the Grande Prairie Forest Protection Area. The fire is located in the Deep Valley area off of the 2000 road. Water trucks and helicopter are working to get the fire extinguished. Lightning is suspected to be the started of the fire.
The wildlife hazard in the area is at high. Alberta Wildfire wants to remind you to evaluate the area before you burn.
