UPDATE: ATCO Electric says power has been restored across Grande Prairie. If your lights are still off, you can report it at 1-800-668-5506. The cause of the outage remains under investigation.
A power outage is currently affecting roughly 4,500 customers in Grande Prairie’s southwest, west end and some northwest areas. The Grande Prairie Airport is among them.
ATCO Electric crews are responding but there’s no expected restoration time at this point. The cause is still under investigation.
