Hillside redevelopment plan public hearing coming up

You will have a chance to review the new redevelopment plan for the Hillside area at two upcoming events. A public hearing will be held in September at city hall where the city will be voting on it and people can voice their opinion about the plan. It will be held on September 18th.

Even earlier than that, an open house for residents to learn more will be held on August 23rd from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Hillside Community School’s gym. The plan has been created from research and community engagement. A handful of open houses have been held over the last year to let people have a say in what the plan looked like.

The plan will cover the area between 100th to 108th Avenue and 92nd to 98th Street near the downtown.
