RCMP are looking for a man accused of robbing the Beaverlodge Hotel and Tavern Thursday afternoon. The suspect came in a little before 1 p.m. and played the VLTs before demanding that an employee open the bar’s safe.
Police say the suspect appeared to have a weapon, but didn’t use one in the robbery. He made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and the employee wasn’t hurt.
The man is described as white and 5’8″ with light facial hair. He was wearing black track pants, a black sweater and a black toque with sunglasses and grey running shoes. Anyone who could identify him or with more information is asked to contact the Beaverlodge RCMP detachment or Crime Stoppers.
