Flooding on 116 Street

Warm temperatures following a winter with record snow on the ground in Grande Prairie likely lead to flooding along 116 Street Sunday afternoon. Deep water filled both sides of the road north of 95 Avenue as it reached more than eight degrees for the fourth day in a row.

Several vehicles had to be towed out of the area. As of 9 p.m., the City of Grande Prairie reported water levels were going down. They will continue to be monitored.
