Wanted man arrested as part of ALERT bust

A Grande Prairie man arrested as part of an ALERT bust last fall is facing more drug trafficking charges. The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams seized more than $15,000 worth of cocaine and meth from a vehicle in the city on April 25th.

Officers pulled the vehicle over and found 157 grams of cocaine, 20 grams of meth, 0.2 grams of heroin, and near $2,000 cash inside. 43 year old Andre Rozon was also in the vehicle, along with 27 year old Nolan Knibbs.

Rozon was already wanted on a warrant stemming from a search warrant in September 2017. More than $15,000 worth of drugs were also seized at that time, and Rozon and another woman were charged with drug-related offences.

His latest arrest has led to two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime, and three counts of breach of recognizance. Knibbs is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
