The unemployment rate in northwestern Alberta is up.
It rose 0.2 per cent last month to 4.9, which up more than a full per cent over this time last year.
However, Canada-wide, the jobless rate is the lowest it’s been since December 2008.
It lowered 0.2 per cent as well to 6.8, after a net gain of 74,000 new jobs last month.

Alberta overall saw its rate drop half a per cent to 4.4, which is where it sat in September 2013 as well.
