Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge reach record low temperatures

Two more weather records have been broken in Grande Prairie. On Sunday, Environment Canada says it reached minus 35.1 degrees Celsius at the Grande Prairie Airport, unofficially passing the previous February 24th record low of minus 33.4 degrees, set in 1994.

The minimum dew point Sunday was minus 39 degrees, which was a record for the day. Since the beginning of 2019, 21 new weather records have been set in Grande Prairie.

Beaverlodge also saw a record low of minus 35.8 degrees Sunday.
