Storm to face Oil Barons in round one of AJHL playoffs

The Grande Prairie Storm is preparing to take on the Fort McMurray Oil Barons in playoff action. The two teams are set to meet in the first round of the Alberta Junior Hockey League playoffs on March 7th.

The Storm are sitting in fifth place in the north division with a 30-25-3 record for 63 points. The Oil Barons did slightly better landing in fourth place with 30-19-8 for 68 points. During the regular season, the Storm played the Oil Barons six times winning one of those games.

Games one and two will be played in Fort McMurray on March 7th and 8th. The teams will then return to Grande Prairie on the 10th and 11th for games three and four. If a fifth game is needed, it will be played on March 13th.

The Storm have two more regular season games on the schedule set for March 1st and 2nd against the Spruce Grove Saints and Sherwood Park Crusaders respectively.
