Grande Prairie hit by record wind speed

The wind at the Grande Prairie Airport reached record speeds Wednesday. Environment Canada recorded wind as fast as 63 kilometres an hour, unofficially breaking the previous April 17th record of 59 kilometres an hour set in 2008.

Strong winds are expected to continue in Grande Prairie through Friday. This is the second day of 2019 record wind speeds have been recorded in the city.
