Flag Retirement Ceremony & Luncheon

What happens to a flag when the trials of time have worn it down? Once a year, Oliver’s Funeral Home lays retired flags to rest during a ceremony at Grande Prairie Cemetery. Flags can be dropped off at Oliver’s year-round.

Event Schedule
10:30am – Depart from Oliver’s Funeral Home as a group to the Grande Prairie Cemetery to retire the flags.
10:45am – Meet at the Grande Prairie Cemetary.
11:00am – Ceremony Starts.

After the ceremony, please join us at Oliver’s Funeral Home for a luncheon and short program.
