The City of Grande Prairie is urging residents to report potholes to help snow-clearing crews keep the city's roads safe during the cold season. 

The County of Grande Prairie's snow removal crews will begin residential snow clearing in two areas on January 21st. 

The City of Grande Prairie's Traffic Signal Maintenance Program will begin on January 14th in an effort to preserve the effectiveness of traffic signals throughout the city. 

Grande Prairie residents are being advised of poor road conditions by several public agencies due to yesterday's freezing rain. 

Snow removal has been well underway across the county so far this winter, with crews making their way through several areas in the Grande Prairie area. 

Police are on scene at a serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 2 between Township Road 750 and Webster Road. The Grande Prairie RCMP says traffic in both directions is being diverted while emergency workers respond and police investigate.

The Grande Prairie RCMP is on scene attending several vehicle collisions in the area of Range Road 63 and 116th Street. 

The City of Grande Prairie's snow-clearing crews are operating in several areas throughout the city this week. 

Snow clearing in the County of Grande Prairie is set to resume Friday, with temporary parking restrictions going into place for the communities of Wedgewood, Taylor Estates and Maple Ridge.
